We had such a fun little day yesterday. I woke up to breakfast in bed, three dozen roses and two rambunctious babes jumping all over me, asking if I would be daddy’s valentine. I went to mommy and me gymnastics with Kyla and Kora and then picked up Ro from preschool at noon. He was so excited when he got in the car, he said it was the best.day.ever!-and went onto show us all the valentines cards and candy he got from his friends. Then we were back to gymnastics for Roland’s class. Wednesday’s are so fun, Roland and Kyla’s favorite day for sure. The kids fell asleep on the way home. By some miracle, I got them all into bed without anyone waking up. After nap, we played in bed until (daddy) Roland got home from work.
One of our first Valentines together, I set up a little sushi picnic in front of the fire place at our first house; it was so romantic so we did the same thing the next year and it kinda just became our little Valentines tradition. When we hear (daddy) Roland come in the front door the kids get level ten, excited. We all rushed downstairs. It was so sweet to see him coming in the door hands full of balloons and goodies for the kids and our sushi feast. He surprised us with a giant sushi boat, my favorite spicy tuna salad, miso soups, and chicken fried rice. We put on some Ed Sheeran, all danced around in the living room.. it was the best family date night.
